GENERAL DESCRIPTION & APPLICATIONS
DARK RESIN DR1018™ is a 75°C softening point, low molecular weight rosin gum produced from natural rosin, renewable resources. This rosin’s distinctive feature is that it contains acid functionality (-COOH), making it compatible in a wide range of elastomers. This rosin is appropriate for use in rubber products. DARK RESIN DR1018™ is utilized in rubber products as a low-cost tackifier and softener in hoses, belts, footwear, flooring and molded goods, etc. This rosin aids in processing of a wide range of elastomers compounds by increasing green tack, rate of incorporation of fillers, stock flow and improves knitting. DARK RESIN DR1018™ is recommended for dark colored stocks and typical loading range is 0.5 – 2,5 phr. Gum Rosin is FDA acceptable under CFR 21 section 175.105 (Adhesives)and 177.2600 (Rubber Articles Intended for Repeated Use).
